TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: March 2026
Agreement
By creating an account or using the EchoFilter service (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. EchoFilter (“EchoFilter”, “we”, “our”) reserves the right to update these Terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Description of service
EchoFilter provides a real-time lead quality scoring API that analyzes behavioral signals from web form submissions to detect automated or low-quality traffic. The Service is provided via API, a JavaScript SDK, and a dashboard.
Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address to register.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and password.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old or have the legal capacity to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction.
- One account per person or legal entity unless expressly agreed in writing.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the Service to collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information beyond what the SDK is designed to capture.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
- Resell or sublicense access to the API without prior written consent.
- Use the Service to discriminate unlawfully against individuals.
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls.
- Use the Service for any fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity.
Plans and billing
- The Free plan is limited to 1,000 API calls per month. Exceeding the limit will result in requests being rejected until the next billing cycle.
- Paid plans (Starter, Pro) are billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
- Prices are listed in USD and exclude any applicable taxes.
- You may upgrade or downgrade at any time; changes take effect at the next billing cycle.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to registered users.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will review your case.
Uptime and availability
We target 99.9% monthly uptime for the API. The Service is provided “as is” without an uptime guarantee unless a separate SLA is agreed in writing. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime or service interruptions.
Accuracy of scores
TrustScore results are probabilistic and may produce false positives or false negatives. EchoFilter is a decision-support tool, not a definitive authority. You are solely responsible for how you act on the scores returned by the Service, including any decision to block, flag, or accept a form submission.
Intellectual property
The Service, including the API, SDK, dashboard, and all associated software, is owned by EchoFilter and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own business purposes. No other rights are granted.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EchoFilter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost revenue, lost profits, or lost data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, abuse of the Service, non-payment, or if required by law. You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which EchoFilter is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction.
